Downloading Helpful Fonts

To further help you create your own sign and flier, you can also make use of some helpful, free fonts.  You should especially take note of the font named 'Impact', which makes the word “REWARD” instantly recognizable.  The fonts come in different forms, depending upon the type of computer that you are using.

Why the Font "Impact" is So Important, and the Magic It Plays on Your Eyes

The font "Impact" is used to write the word "REWARD" in it's most recognizable form, so that people can understand the importance and urgency of your sign from a distance, and be drawn over to it.  In other words, the font that the word "REWARD" is traditionally written in is what makes the word 'reward' so recognizable.  It's not the word that's so recognizable, but the word written in the font.  Before you even 'read' the word, your mind already knows what the word is by the look of it.  This phenomenon makes it easier to notice it from a distance, which is what you want.  Another example of this is the word "STOP" on a stop sign.  If it were written in a different font or color from what you are used to, you would easily drive right past it. So, in a nutshell, make sure you download the font called 'Impact' so that you can use it to make your flier as effective as possible.  (Note -- only use this font for the word "Reward", so it stands out; the rest of your flier should be in a normal text [we suggest Arial, see below].)

The font "Lucida Calligraphy" is used as a secondary font on the flier, to make the flier more readable and pleasant to the eye. More importantly, it highlights some of the more emotional phrases by being a more handwriting-looking font, making the flier more personal and emotion-provoking.

The font "Arial" is used for everything else.  It is a good clean sans-serif font (meaning it doesn't have the little extensions and flourishes at the end of the strokes, just straight, smooth, even-width lines).  It is very readable as body text, and it looks good when it is scaled up for bigger items like the title.
